How big? Enormous Pothole part of ‘atrocious’ road surface in Great Shelford that prompts petition.
Hundreds of people signed a petition within days of it launching to call for the urgent resurfacing of a road that resembles one “you would see in a war zone”.
The petition says a stretch of the A1301 has “deteriorated significantly” with new potholes emerging, and patched potholes reopening that it “poses an issue to all users”.

The growing support reflects widespread frustration and anger by residents that reporting road defects through Cambridgeshire County Council’s highways portal is “failing to deliver timely repairs”.
