Planning @ WTC – Wednesday – Updated (Thursday)

Disclaimer – Without Prejudice.
Whittlesey Town Council Planning Committee act as consultees only on planning matters.
Decision on Planning Applications are made by Fenland District Council who take into account comments from WTC and members of the public.

The official minutes of the meeting will be made by Whittlesey Town Council normally a month after the meeting, having been ratified by the Full Council.

12 members of the public present (myself as a member of the public).
A shortish presentation by Rose Homes Mr. Stephen Buddle, this was very similar to a previous presentaton given to Whittlesey Councillors but without any graphics and slide show.

The application at FDC Planning portal is under F/YR23/0705/O and can be viewed by
Clicking Here        This is an ‘outline planning application’ – no details except ‘access’

During the public forum, 2 members made comments/concerns on access/traffic/doctors/education/wildlife.
A longer presentation was given (Roman ?) again covering most of the previous objections. John Redding stated there is and could potentially be sewage issues/problems.

During the debate – Cllr Chris Boden who one of the ward Councillors for the planned development gave several ‘planning reasons’ for the site to be refused planning permission. He also spoke about monies that developers should pay towards infra-structor/doctors/educations (section 106 monies) – on occasions being cancelled.

As I have stated, the full transcript will be in the official minutes of the meeting – probably available next month.

Whittlesey Town Council proposed to ‘refuse’ this ‘outline’ application.
