Think Before You Call – Video By Cambs Police

Did you know that our Demand Hub takes an average of 500 calls to 999 and 1,000 calls to 101 per day?

With such demand being placed on our Call Handlers, we are asking the public to help us keep our phone lines free for genuine police matters and serious emergencies.

Our latest video allows you to take a step inside our bustling Demand Hub, where all 999 and 101 calls are taken, to better understand why we need you to Think Before You Call.

Watch the video here.

If you are ever unsure about whether to call us or not, you can always speak to a live web chat operator to ask for advice (just visit www.cambs.police.uk and click the green chat icon to start a chat).

You can also find a wealth of information on the Advice and Information pages on our website which you can take a look at before contacting us.

Ask the Police is also an official police resource that provides the answers to a wide variety of policing questions frequently asked by the general public.

Together we can help to keep our 101 and 999 phone lines free for those who need us most.
