The Ottermans Saga Continues- Update #2

Some 5 months now since the fire at the ‘Ottermans’ take-away Broad Street/Market Street.
The issues of road closure/traffic control is carried out by Cambs CC Highways.
The building is at this moment still deemed unsafe and thats why the barriers are still in place.
The barriers do not belong to FDC or CCC but by someone called Humphries.
I can assure everyone, that Fenland Councillors have and on the case regularly.
Below is an update we received later yesterday (Tuesday).
I have made phone calls todays and there at this moment nothing further to add.

The Highways Supervisor has today been advised by CNC building control that providing the owners remove the rubble from the roof and check their boarding is secure, CNC will be happy for the traffic management to be removed and the path opened.  There will be a further update tomorrow and of course this is down to the owners doing what is necessary.

CNC provides the building control functions for the Local Authority areas of South Norfolk, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, Fenland, Norwich City and Broadland. Building Control is a statutory requirement on the vast majority of building projects (including internal alterations and conversion works) irrespective of whether planning permission has been required or not.
