After some 10 days of never ending complaints and issues about the Manor Field – Manhole Covers, we are nearly there in replacing the ‘missing or damaged’ items.
However – the actual issue is that in most cases – has been caused by Vandalism.
Yesterday I witnessed twice (15:30 and 16:30) the ‘Cones’ covering an iopen manhole being removed by (1) 2 Girls about 14 years old dragging two of the cones into the nearby spinny – Caught red handed by myself, I repectfully asked them to take them back – which they did – I can not take photographs, as these are classified as ‘children’ and I would be the one in trouble. (2) When I returned all three cones had been removed and were some distance away from the open manhole – some 8 young boys were playing about around the open manhole – again not apportioning blame I asked them to return all cones which they did.
8 New Picnic Benches, already one has had glass broken all over it….
