National Suspicious Email Reporting Service
Last month (21/4/20) the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) launched a Suspicious Email Reporting Service. (SERS)
https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/information/report-suspicious-emails
It is intended to encourage people to report phishing emails so the NCSC can then analyse the information and use it to remove or block phishing sites from the internet. Within a week of launch, the NCSC removed 395 sites from the internet thanks to public reporting.
If you receive a suspected phishing communication, first and foremost don’t click on any link or open an attachment. Verify the sender by contacting them on a tried, tested and trusted email address or telephone number. Do not reply to the suspicious email or use contact details from within it.
But please report to: [email protected]
Should this raise any questions or issues, then please contact me.
