ek a very large branch fell off a tree in the Manor Field, this was reported to me by a concerned member of the public, I went had a look myself and reported to FDC, today (Saturday) – Tree Surgeons dealt with the offending tree….cost doesn’t come into the equation when peoples safety is concerned.
An article sent to me from Cambridgeshire News
Someone (nameless as usual) is having a real good moan about our town of Whittlesey.
‘Brutal Review Slams Cambs Town as ‘dull lifeless damp cloth of a settlement’
A review posted on ILiveHere has not been kind to the Fenland town of Whittlesey
Whittlesey is just a town you drive through to get to somewhere else. Thankfully I jumped ship many years ago and have never returned. Do I miss it? Like a hole in the head.”
I’m not sure that Whittlesey misses this reviewer much either.
It’s not tough to disagree with the overwhelming and one-sided negativity provided by this review.
Whittlesey is a historic town and home to over 16,000 people.
You can make your own mind up and read the complete story Click Here
I understand from the article that The Moaner’ no longer lives here – well reading their review, I doubt very much if they contributed anything whilst here – so fare well and don’t bother to come back….
Grosvenor Road – The Testing stations in Whittlesey have become pretty popular, in the past you could just turn up and get a test. That is not the case anymore.
In order to obtain a test you’ll need to pre-book on the NHW Website or ring 119
Baptist Church – No booking required
Friday 13 August
Whittlesey Baptist Church, 32 Gracious Street, Whittlesey, PE7 1AR – 9am to 5pm
It would appear that there are a few local residents that have no issues with more HGV’s on Ramsey Road/Church Street, however the majority I have spoken too beg to differ.
My objection is on behalf of those concerned residents, if you wish to object this has to be before the 25th August 2021
This will be available in printed version at various locations around town in the near future.
In order to read, zoom (+) to about 160% then pan to scroll across the pages.
Found dead today along The Bower, believed to be one of our resident swans, hopefully the signets are large enough now to fend for themselves. It has been reported to the authorities.
