Being fair as I try to be, the loss to the Conservatives in Peterbough may well have its ongoing fallout. That said I am aware (asked not to name)? Two senior Labour activists have recently resigned from the local Labour Group.
Peterborough is a great deal different than we in Fenland. I give acknowledgement that Cllr Chris Harper (Peterborough-Stanground South) is probably one of the hardest working Councillors I know within The Unitary Council. He like myself is very passionate in his area.

Tonight he has resigned from the Conservative Party and has …..crossed over to being an Inpependent….. something I do no always agree with, half way through the term, either you stand Independent or you go back to the electorate and get them to mandate your change….

There will be Booster clinics running from Stanground Surgery on Wednesday (22nd) and Thursday (23rd) afternoons next week from 12:30 – 17:30 with the CCG sending out invites to the patients of NQS&S, Old Fletton, Yaxley, Wansford and Oundle.
Next week’s clinics will then be followed up with clinics on bank holiday Monday (27th) and Tuesday (28th) from 10:30 – 15:30 both days

Since the beginning of the year, members of the public have been submitting dashcam footage to us, resulting in 228 Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) letters being sent to drivers across Cambridgeshire.
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire tri-force team have now released a compilation video of the dashcam footage submitted which secured the prosecution of dangerous drivers across the three counties.
If you capture poor driving behaviour on your dashcam, please submit the footage online to us within ten days of the offence. These videos are then reviewed to confirm an offence has been committed and that the offender’s registration plate is clearly visible for identification purposes.

2021 has continued to bring its challenges with the pandemic still very much among us, however I continue to be impressed by the strong sense of community spirit that exists in our county.
I would like to thank you for everything you have done to support our police officers, staff and volunteers over the past 12 months and look forward to working with you to deliver the key priorities within my recently launched Police and Crime Plan.

| Fake emails and text messages are a common tactic used by cyber criminals, their goal is often to convince you to click a link. Once clicked, you may be sent to a dodgy website which could download viruses onto your computer, or steal your passwords and personal information.
In order to try and convince you that their messages are legitimate, criminals will pretend to be someone you trust, or from some organisation you trust. This could be your Internet Service Provider (ISP), local council, even a friend in need. And they may contact you by phone call, email or text message. Reporting suspicious emails: If you have received an email which you’re not quite sure about, you can report it by forwarding the email to the Suspicious Email Reporting Service at: report@phishing.gov.uk As of 31st October 2021, the number of suspicious email reports stands at more than 8,100,000, with the removal of more than 67,000 scams and 124,000 URLs. The vast majority of reports do reach our system so please keep reporting any suspicious emails you receive. Also discussed was the Whittlesey Emergency Food Aid program, ealier this month a great deal of ‘misinformation’ being given out on Social Media.

The WEGA program is still operating as per normal and a new constitution/committee which will include Cllr David Mason, Cllr Mrs Julie Windle, Sue and Joe Jennings, following the departure/retirement of Brian Smithyman and Marija Lysak.
