Yes – I Do Support All Businesses – Come To Whittlesey

Having been invited to join The Whittlesey Business Forum many years ago when it was reformed (remember I am not a business owner), and having attended over 90% of their meetings, I am an avid supporter of our Business Community.
In todays Peterborough Telegraph©

Major plans for new science and technology park on former brickworks near Peterborough – Major plans to regenerate a 50-acre former brickworks site at Whittlesey have been announced.

I am very encouraged that this maybe very good news for the area in general, we will need to wait and see what the detailed plans are.

Police & Crime Commissioners Precept Increase

Commissioner Proposes Precept Increase To Support Record Officer Numbers For Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Good  afternoon,
Police and Crime Commissioner, Darryl Preston has today launched an online survey asking for people’s views on his proposed increase to the policing part of council tax.

My proposed increase of £10 per year (based on a Band D property) will enable the Chief Constable to invest in a number of areas which are detailed here.

Please take a few minutes to complete my survey – your views will help inform my final decision on how much to raise the policing part of council tax.

The survey closes at 17:00 on Thursday 20th January, 2022.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey – a link is provided below or you will find it on the Commissioner’s website (cambridgeshire-pcc.gov.uk).

Xtravaganza Meeting

Unfortunately I could not attend the 2021 Whittlesey Extravaganza held on 11th December.
Most of the feedback was very positive and a wonderful time was had by the many who attended the event.

At last nights committee meeting, discused the success of the event and what could perhaps be improved upon for this coming years event.
With the cancellation of this years ‘Straw Bear Festival’ – the ‘COVID Effect’ has always to be considered.
Date planned for this years event – Saturday 10th December starting at 15:30
