Manor Field Picnic Bench – Arson

I am very pleased with the contact(s) and feedback that has been received since last Thursdays event at the Manor Field.
Most sympathetic feedback on what is happening regarding ongoing anti-social behaviour in our town at present.
I am not accusing anyone or group or individual as I/we do not at this time have any evidence.
I am still waiting for our Neighbourhood Police Team to contact me.

Wonderful that there is now a JustGiving campaign to try and raise enough funding to replace the damaged one.

Early days as I and those partners (StreetPride/WTC/FDC) need to seek a forward plan.
I am very thankful and grateful to all of you that have contacted me, as you can imagine I am unable to reply and answer everyones e-mails.

Watch this space and as news and developments come forward I will update.

My thanks also to The Cambs Times© for running the article to highlight the issues.

In The End —– It Was a Picnic @ The Ivy Leaf

Fantastic that a recovery offer from the Ivy Leaf saved some of what would have been a good event at the Manor Field had the weather not been so bad.
Around 120 or so turned up with food and snax – good music and dancing for the Jubilee event.

A Nice Afternoon Jubilee Party

Our Neighbourhood Watch Group Coordinator Lynne A invited residents from around Ashline Grove to our (previously cancelled due to weather 2012) Queens Jubilee Street Party, the weather ‘just’ held up and we all had a very good afternoon.

£500 Reward Offered By Local Councillor

More incidents have been reported to me since my article about the Manor Picnic Bench incident yesterday.
All has been reported to various agencies but with it being weekend/bank holiday I don’t expect to hear anything until Tuesday.

I am more than happy to offer a £500 reward leading to the culprit(s) responsible being found and prosecuted – I mean this seriously, the amount of vandalism is getting out of proportion and someone knows who is carrying out these acts.

Every Picnic Bench only installed last year has been attacked in some form or another.
Why !!!!!

We are seriously considering removing ALL the Picnic Benches because of the ongoing vandalism…..

More Major Vandalism In Whittlesey

Why is it – When there are School Holidays – Vandalism increases – Oh sorry I shouldn’t even think who maybe responsible for a spat of fires and vandalsim.
I will comment more on this in the next couple of days after seeking legal advice on what I can say.

The ‘newish’ Manor Field Picnic Benches, a joint venture between Myself, WTC and StreetPride. 8 environmentally friendly and sturdy Picnic Benches, enjoyed by many, suffered minor vandalism within a week of being installed, three times graffittied and after 19:30 last night a full blown attack – someone knows who did this….cough up!
