Adoption Of Neighbourhood Plan
I am writing to formally advise you that the Whittlesey Neighbourhood Plan was made (i.e. adopted) at a meeting of the Full Council of Fenland District Council on the 22nd May 2023.
As a result the neighbourhood plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Fenland District and should be used for determining planning applications within the Whittlesey Neighbourhood Area.
Details of the Whittlesey Neighbourhood Plan can be found at this link:
Whittlesey Neighbourhood Plan – Fenland District Council
Your sincerely,
Gareth Martin
Senior Development Officer
Local Plan / Planning Policy Team
Fenland District Council.

Thank you to the group for welcoming us again, we’re always happy to come and have a chat, find out about what’s concerning you and offer advice.
The Hub is open for veterans, their families, widows and first responders every Thursday between 10am and 4pm, to offer support and signposting to services for anyone who needs it.
Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone who might benefit from attending this group, we’d love to see more of you there.
Don’t forget there’s a whole host of advice and information on our website, available to access anywhere at any time.

Fenland Police
More than 270 weapons including large knives, knuckle dusters and swords were handed in as part of our amnesty last week.
Thank you to everyone who disposed of items – you have helped make our neighbourhoods even safer.
Some of the weapons, such as knuckledusters and extendable batons, are now illegal to own following a change to the law.
As well as the amnesty, officers visited numerous schools across the county, took part in extra patrols in hotspot areas and conducted weapons sweeps in an effort to locate any hidden items in public spaces.
