Fenland District Council is reopening the Call for Sites process to ensure we meet new guidance for local plan-making. The Call for Sites feeds into our new Local Plan, Fenland 50, which will guide how Fenland grows and changes up to 2050, influencing where new homes and jobs go, how towns and villages develop, how flood risk is managed, and the quality of new development.
We are inviting residents, landowners, developers and community groups to suggest land that could potentially be included in the plan to help meet the area’s future needs, from identifying land for potential development to nominating local green spaces of community value.
Please note that sites submitted in the earlier Call for Sites consultation have been retained and do not need to be resubmitted, unless these were submitted via email after the previous exercise closed. Should this apply to your site(s), then please resubmit this information via the Council’s online portal.
Access the portal and submit your site here: https://cfs.fenland.urbanintelligence.co.uk/.
The Council welcomes additional information or updated details on the availability and suitability of previously submitted sites, which again should be provided via the above portal.
The Call for Sites will remain open until further notice. All submissions received within this period will be assessed alongside other available evidence. Submission of a site does not imply that it will be allocated for development or included within the Local Plan but does ensure that any opportunities for development can be allocated as deemed appropriate.
