When a request from our fishing community to install ‘Fishing Platforms’ along to Bower River/Drain on the FDC side of the Manor Field, we (Friends of the Manor) were presented with ‘brick wall after brick wall’ from the Environment Agency, Robert Windle had a patience of saint in dealing with the agency.
I along with Robert raised over £12,000 and after 18 months of intense negotiations ‘we ‘finally got permission to install the Fishing Platforms – all disabled accessible friendly and since have held many ‘Small Fry’ fishing events.
At yesterdays FDC Planning Committee (my apologies given) – 2 sets of 15 platforms sailed through (quite rightly) through planning, and paid for by the Environment Agency for March…
