Some may remember – Whittlesey was ‘promised’ a Country Park by more than one developer – did it happen – NO….(not for the want of trying)….
I have for a long period, in the background supported the campaign for Turves – Three Horseshoes to progress into getting a community hub/centre.
I was in contact with the Ex-Chair Stephen Goldspink, and am still on the groups -mailing list.
It is not in my Council Ward area, and we in Whittlesey South have enough of our owns issues.
More than happy as always to promote their cause.
However one must ask – Fundraising progress appears modest, with the official JustGiving appeal for example, showing just two supporters donating £35 toward a £200,000 target.
