Not only the leader of Fenland District Council, a Whittlesey Town Councillor and Cambs County Councillor, he has other positions elsewhere and numberous committee appointments – experienced and knowledgable –
He should have well known how his presentation about getting more money allocated for highways was going to go – that is nowhere….the £Million or so he was hoping to secure, would have made very little difference to our roads.
The problem is not now or recent, it stems from Governments for the past 50 years,
milking the motorist and not putting enough back….
Then of course yet another vain project HS2 – Billions and Billions of wasted money – ruin many woodlands on the way…. and remember this it was Labour & Gordon Brown and his cabinet came to approve HS2 in the first place in 2010 thats already 16 years ago.
So give Boden his due, he put a ‘political’ case knowing that the ‘broken’ highways within not only our area but throughout the country was a dead duck…. (no disrespect to ‘ducks’)
