Normally and usually I’ll start with giving credit and kudos to anyone who stands for public office, however it is becoming very common, that there are :-
1 – ‘Paper Candidates’, using national – NOT local issues on any election material.
2 – ‘Suspicious Candidates’, On all election applications you can elect NOT to have your
details/address published – however as an elector, I’d like to know where my candidate
lives – No good someone who lives 10o’s miles away coming to a ‘local election’.
What and why are there NO CONTACT details, I may wish to talk/e-mail or arrange a meet with the candidate.
3 – No history of any previous ‘Community Engagement’/Involvement’
And I could go on…..so as far as Cambridgeshire County Council Elections May 01st is concerned there is only one ‘serious candidate that meets ALL the criteria.
