NQS Bank Holiday Closure Arrangements

Bank Holiday Closure Information

We will be closed on Monday 26 August 2024 for the Bank Holiday.

Anima will close on Friday 23 August 2024, in the afternoon or when capacity is reached and will reopen on Tuesday 27 August 2024 in the morning as usual.

If you have any medical concerns that cannot wait until we re-open, it is important to know how you can get help during the holiday period.

Prescription medication

Please make sure that you have enough prescription medication left. You can order a repeat prescription when you have a 7-day supply remaining. Keep in mind that it may take up to 72 hours for your prescription to be processed, and the pharmacy will require additional time to dispense it.

Non-life-threatening emergencies

For non-life-threatening emergencies, you can contact NHS 111 by visiting the NHS website (for people aged over five) or by calling 111. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Self-care

Self-care is the best choice for treating minor illnesses and injuries such as coughs, colds, grazes, small cuts, or a sore throat. These can often be managed at home or in holiday accommodation with over-the-counter medicines and plenty of rest.

Pharmacist services

Pharmacists can provide advice and treatment for conditions like hay fever, diarrhoea, earache, painful cough, sticky eye, teething, and rashes. Your local community pharmacy can issue emergency repeat medication without a GP prescription. You can call 111 or visit NHS 111 for further assistance or find your nearest pharmacy on the NHS website

Minor injuries

For minor injuries, use services like Minor Injury Units and Walk-in Centres. Always check local arrangements

NHS website

The NHS website is always available for advice and guidance.

Emergencies

In case of emergencies or serious, life-threatening conditions (such as severe bleeding, breathing difficulties, severe chest pain, or loss of consciousness), call A&E/999.
Find your nearest A&E Department

Mental health

For mental health support, you can find local services and support to help your loved ones feel brighter on the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) website.
