Has your local church been damaged? Have you been affected by hare coursing? Has agricultural equipment been stolen from your farming business? Or are you concerned about wildlife crime in your area? A new survey developed by the Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) is seeking residents’ views to better understand what incidents and crimes across our communities cause most concern.
The surveyis open until 11.59pm on Wednesday 30 November, and is aimed at anyone who lives or works in Cambridgeshire or has a business in the county. The results will be used to form part of the force’s local policing strategies.
Assistant Chief Constable Vicki Evans said: “The RCAT is key to tackling the different types of heritage, hunting, rural and wildlife crimes that impact our communities.
“We are committed to seeking and listening to people’s views and this survey demonstrates our commitment to tackling these crime types. I would encourage all rural residents, landowners, and business owners in Cambridgeshire to complete it.” Police and Crime Commissioner Darryl Preston added: “With more than 90% of Cambridgeshire being classified as rural, this survey will ensure the force and RCAT are prioritising what matters most to those affected by heritage, hunting, rural and wildlife crime.
