‘BELFAST’ (12a)
Showing 15th October 2022
A heart warming and poignant story of love and laughter and the loss of one boy’s childhood amid the music and social turmoil of the late 1960’s, written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. The boy namely ‘Buddy’ lives with his family in a predominantly Protestant area of Belfast, with a few Catholic families. His life gets turned upside down when his family get mixed up in the mayhem of the city, and Buddy must decide to stay or leave is home.
Through it all his passionate parents (Caltriona Balfe and Jamie Dorman) and his quick witted grandparents (Academy Award winner) Judi Dench and Ciaran Hinds, keep the joy alive in him through music and the magic of movies in this feel – good story of never forgetting where your roots are.
A great movie with an excellent cast and well worth seeing soon to be a ‘Classic’.
