Organised by Fenland Radio in conjunction with Whittlesey Sports Association, It’s a Knockout is being held in the town on August 16.
Organisers are hoping that teams from towns and villages across Fenland will sign up to join the fun, which will include a host of challenges and games reminiscent of the hit BBC show, which ran for over two decades from the 1960s to the 1980s.
Teams are of 10 players, and contestants must be aged 16 or over – it will cost £50 per person to enter (£500 per team).
Robert has commissioned Knockout Challenge Ltd to provide the games for the day, and they will include dressing in costumes, water fun, and foam, and will basically be ike a school sports day for adults.
Although the initial hope is to get at least 12 teams to sign up, Robert said the more teams the better, and the event could be expanded accordingly.
