Whittlesey man jailed after pleading guilty to actual bodily harm and intentional strangulation…. Click Here…
A man who “just switched” and attacked a woman following a night out with her has been jailed.
Dominic Bevilacqua, 25, assaulted the victim on the evening of November 4 last year at his home in Anglers Avenue, Whittlesey.
The victim, who had been in an on-off relationship with Bevilacqua, said out of nowhere he “just switched” and grabbed her hair and dragged her off the bed.
Bevilacqua then punched her in the face multiple times before placing his hands around her neck and strangling her.
He also kicked and punched her in the face before she escaped and drove home.

The victim attended hospital the following day for treatment.
Bevilacqua was arrested on November 6 and tried to blame the victim’s behaviour for the assault.
However, on Friday (January 23), at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court, acting as a crown court, Bevilacqua was jailed for 20 months, having pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm and intentional strangulation.
