Anglian Water, in partnership with Cambridge Water, are proposing a new reservoir in the Fens and connecting infrastructure to help meet the growing demands on water supply in the East of England. The new reservoir is at the heart of a whole new water supply project.
Our phase three consultation is now closed. The consultation ran from 15 October to 10 December 2025.

Your knowledge is valuable to us, and the comments we’ve received will play a key part in helping us to develop the project to keep impacts as low as possible, and create benefits for people and nature.
We are now carefully analysing all feedback so we can consider this as we develop our proposals further. So that everyone can see the key themes and issues from the consultation, we’ll prepare and publish a summary of the feedback in 2026.
