Government Boundary Re-organisation. Fenland District Council may no longer exsist after 01st May 2028 to become part of a ‘Unitary Authority’.
There has been a public consultation.
The leader of FDC is proposing ‘Option ‘D’ (map attached).
One thing is for certain….
‘If’ this does go ahead with any of the options –
1/ Council Tax will rise significantly.
2/ Will Fenland/Whittlesey keep ‘Free Parking’ (I doubt it)
3/ Can we protect our Green Open Spaces.
