I understand that campaign leaflets have started to be distributed in the Whittlesey NW Ward, asking electors of their concerns.
We’ve been here before, with certain hopefulls (who were elected) promising ‘everyone’ they spoke too, that ‘they’ would sort out their problem/issues – have they !!! No….
If I lived in that ward, my question would be ‘Why 6 of the Councillors listed below have all resigned in the past 5 years’…
With the recent debacle “(a sudden and disastrous failure or collapse, often one that is chaotic or embarrassing)” another conservative councillor from Whittlesey Town/District Council (Elisabeth Sennitt-Clough), who 2 weeks had a scathing article published on the CambsTimes™ resigning her position.

Someone asked – who were the other councillors that have departed for what is ‘claimed’ similar reasons (not all but most)….
Elisabeth Sennitt Clough.
Kay Mayor.
Ray Whitwell.
Simon Black.
David Mason.
Julie Windle.
Dave Davies.
Luke Mason. (lasted less than 6 months)
Victoria Lang Whiston. (Attended very few meetings)
9 resignations (ALL Conservative Councillors) in the past 6 years – surely this is embarrassing in anyones language.
Asking around, possible would be candidates (all political and independents)
many local people ‘we’ speak too are actually afraid of even standing for election because of what they have seen, heard or witnessed –
(remember the recent walkout of many of the public at a Whittlesey Town Council meeting).
On a personal note I might add, that I’ve never been subjected to bullying or intimidation from any other Councillor, that said ‘we’ all get ‘abused verbally’ by members of the public on occasion.
Trying to to the best for our electorate is not as easy as many think.
