WARNING – Contains Adult Material…….A ‘Happy Time of The Year – I’d Like To Think So’

Someone did ask, as I am late updating this news…. The answer is ‘YES’ both Tortoises are alive and well after an elongated hibernation this year – slept until the end of March.
Both had lost a few ‘grams’ in weight, but they are outside, roaming about and occasionally getting to know each other (if you know what I mean).

Suntan – (female) the larger one is a spur-thighed tortoise or Moorish tortoise, mainly found in around North Africa/Southern Europe, weighs in 2,500 grams she is well over 80 years old we have had her 48 years.
Timmy – (male) the smaller one is the same type but weighs in at around 650 grams, he is around 70+ years old and we’ve had him 45 years.

Like me the are ‘Independent’ and can look after themselves ‘most’ of the time, but do like a little TLC (like me!)
