Scope: Carriageway resurfacing to Eastrea Road between Cemetery Way Roundabout and Tayberry Way Roundabout. Please refer to the attached drawing for exact extents. CCC Streetworks require the works to be undertaken at night due to the amount of traffic the road serves during the day,
Programmed Dates: 27/03/25 – 17/04/25, workings between 20:00 and 06:00. Road to be open during the day, closed at night as per Causeway one.network link.
Noise reduction: There are properties in proximity to the works, on what is already an A road within Cambridgeshire. Although, noisy works will be prioritised for the early hours of the closure as much as possible. This will be undertaken by planers and there won’t be any hard breakout expected, further reducing noise. Site teams will have radio comms which will remove the need for shouting or loud voices over the plant noise on site. Once the noisier works are completed earlier in the night, you can expect there to be the sound of engines running and the reversing beeps of plant. Our contractor is strong at communicating with residents and businesses in the local areas and will be visiting in person to address concerns. This includes setting up communications for those affected to provide suitable accommodations for issues.
The Parish Council and local member have been contacted and are updated monthly. I will also drop letters to residents at least 2 weeks ahead of works. Advanced warning signs will be installed at least 2 weeks ahead of works too.
