Latest Local COVID Stats #III – Infections By Age

Cambridgeshire’s Covid-19 infection rate continues to be around the highest it has ever been since the pandemic began.

Ten to 14-year-olds continue to be by far the worst affected as the virus spreads among schoolchildren.

Below we look at how every area of the county is affected.

The 3,401 cases recorded in the week to October 14 was the second highest rolling seven-day number of the whole pandemic – only eclipsed by the 3,584 seen in the week to January 4.

Latest figures, for the week to October 17, show 3,265 cases, up 63 (two per cent) on the previous seven days. The infection rate of 496.8 cases per 100,000 people was above the national average of 465.4.
