Unfortunately this years Whittlesey Mayors Duck Race is not going to take place on Easter Monday.
So for the second year Fenland Youth Radio and Whittlesey Sports Association have come to the rescue and are encouraging families to enter the improvised Duck Race.
All you have to do is, firstly like our Facebook pages if you have not done so already, then add your child’s name and age and the time you think the first duck will be at the finish line in the comments box only on the Fenland Youth Radio Facebook page and any message that can be read out.
We will be mentioning names and times and the messages on the Good Friday Fenland Breakfast Show 8am-10am and also the Saturday Saturday show from 9am-11am. The 3 children who have the closest times to the official timing will win a nice chocolate prize.
The length of the course is approx 22 metres and may be hose pipe assisted. Last year there were 63 entries and the joint winners were Matilda-Rae Rogers and Kian Massingham who were the closest to the winning time of 4 minutes 14 seconds so will they defend their title or will it be new names on the podium.
