After my very assertive conversation with senior police officer(s) at Hinchingbrooke this week and e-mails to our Neighbourhood Sergeant, plus a element of Town Council contact (the e-mail they received remained a ‘secret’ to them and was not forwarded to any other interested individuals or groups – more on these ‘secrets’ later).
Our PCSO’s have informed me that they are and will be checking on Church Street/Ramsey Road when they have resource time to do so, which has already happened I am pleased to say.
I also have checked with the constabulary that here in Fenland – PCSO’s do indeed have the powers to ticket illegally parked vehicles.
In Peterborough and Cambridge where they have ‘Civil Enforcement Officers’ the Police would not normally carry out any parking issues/enforcement.
