Our NHW communications worked very well today – we were made aware that there were 2 suspicious characters offering with pressure to clean guttering, they asked far too many questions, this was happening in the Victory Avenue area.
The police were contacted and was seen in the area.
Later the characters returned for a second try, the police arrived and they (the characters) made a swift get away.
If you have elderly neighbours who may be an easy target, please make them aware, and if they are approached to call the Police asap on 101
