Nice tree at Manor Field vandalised yesterday.

Lively discussion last night with some 19 attending. The group have 30 paid up members.
Looking at ways forward in promoting the town and its businesses.
Looking at revamping their website.

We are all aware of the poor state of the A605 coming from Coates through Whittlesey.
This morning I spoke with the Highways Engineer responsible for Whittlesey, as I could see nothing planned on the Cambs CC Highways schedual.
He told me that a complete resurface of the A605 from Dandelion Drive to the Cemetery Road Round-About is planned for this financial year……However…..
He also said that things can change? – depending on the Councils financial state.

The Weedkiller with his ‘Nozzle’

The county’s chemical weed treatment programme is in full swing as more than 440km of kerbside weeds have been treated already in just a few weeks – the equivalent distance of just under 5,000 football pitches – and will cover 243 parish areas in total.

The programme began in June and is expected to finish in August. A second treatment will take place in October.
