I don’t usually get over involved in national or international issues on this web-blog,
trying to keep more local. However, (not in panic mode), there maybe a sense of complacency in how the country is and will be ‘suffering’ for some considerable period of time to come.
This I am sure my readers are fully aware.
However having been involved with transport of oil on and off for over 20 years, I am well qualified to comment.
Even ‘if’ the Strait of Hormuz was fully re-opened tomorrow, the infrastructure and available tanker capacity just is’nt there anymore.
It will take a considerable time for even minimal amounts of oil and gas to start in any quantities.
Then everything is @ The Global Market – China and India, probably prepared to pay a premium.
Probabaly talking ‘years’
