I Normally Don’t Get Involved !!!! – National Politics – However

I found it very humbling to have attended this weeks British Legions commemoration service at The Whittlesey War Memorial on Thursday along with my wife and a couple of other Councillors (Mayor Alex Miscandlon and Cllr Elisabeth Sennitt Clough) + Ex Councillor Kay Mayor, for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

I fully appreciate people are at work and can not attend.
However I paste below an article, by my old boss Andrew Neil which realy sums up what most of us feel.

The Tree Fungi Is Nearly Finished

Parasitic Mushroom, tends to grow on an injured part of a tree.
Here near the Bower is a fine example – the ‘stork’ has quite a girth and strong, but it is near its end. As can be seen in comparison to a brick – fairly large.

Weeing On The Weeds !!!!!

I hear that –

The chemical weed treatment program for the county commences from 24th June 2024, this however is weather dependent, once the treatment program has commenced, we will publish the schedule on the Cambridgeshire County Council website.

If it goes like most years….the guy travels that fast, and the ‘squirter’ pointing everwhere except on the weeds, the result being if lucky some ugly looking ‘Browned Off Weeds’
(Remember no treatment last year)

I’ll be watching these BIG Boy Weeds…..

Today @ Whittlesey War Memorial

Myself and around a hundred or so, watched the Royal British Legion (Whittlesey Branch), hold a commemoration service for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

I attended as a member of the public and was not part of the organisers or Council representatives.
