“The Miracle Club”(12A)

Stars Maggie Smith and Kathy Bates – Comedy / Drama

Ballygar, Ireland, 1967. A hard-knocks community in outer Dublin marches to its own beat, rooted in traditions of loyalty, faith and togetherness. There’s just one tantalising dream for the women of Ballygar to taste freedom and escape the gauntlet of domestic life: to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. And with a little benevolent interference from their cheeky and rebellious priest, close friends Lily, Eileen, Dolly and Sheila are the ‘lucky’ few to win this ticket of a lifetime at their riotous local raffle night.

You are all invited to come along to our cosy, warm building for a top-class movie screening plus refreshments served during the interval.

No charges are made for admission but donations are welcomed to offset our operating expenses.

Thank you!

Planning Is Complicated and Complex And Weighted By Government.

There is nothing wrong with good planning, like most Councils (FDC) have a robust planning strategy and ‘A Local Plan’ which sets forth the requirements for an area.
We (FDC) are still working to the 2014 Local Plan, however the next one is being actively worked on. I am not stating right or wrong, but the Government weighes very heavily in favour of a developer, not taking into account for example Doctors & Dentists.

Article in CambsNews regarding where an appeal came back infavour of a developer.
Fenland Council faces legal bill for ‘unreasonable behaviour’ in failed bid to block 110 homes.   Click Here To Read Article

When you read the article and see some of the photographic evidence, the Planning Inspectorate did not deem these concerns of weight to refuse the application.
I am not stating the Inspector is/was wrong – purely highlighing the difficulties faced by Planning Committees

RG Note : – I was not a member of the Planning Committee when this application was presented and determined.
