FDC Teams Meeting – Nature Matters
Was this a PR disaster? – A Presentation given to 32 Councillors/Officers attending the ‘Teams online presentation’.
During and after the presentation hardly a positive question/comment was made by those present. The presentation was ‘OK’ but lacked any punches.
Just my personal view – I will ask others that attended to see if they were ‘wowed’ by the presentation.

Fen Cops Weekend Update + Community Meeting Today
A good turnout of partner agencies today at Whittlesey Library, Police x 2, Fire & Rescue,
Fenland Community Safer partnership, The Bobby Scheme and Neighbourhood Watch.
A weekend roundup from your response officers!
Between responding to calls for service, we have spent our time out and about in Wisbech marketplace and the Horsefair shopping centre, speaking to businesses and the community about their concerns. This led to us identifying a shoplifter who has targeted a number of shops around the Horsefair.
We located and arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of burglary after a shop in Wisbech was broken into on Friday, and he has been bailed to return to the Kings Lynn Police Investigation Centre (PIC) in September while some further enquiries are carried out.
Conducting interviews and collecting CCTV and statements for ongoing investigations is a big part of our job when we are not responding to your calls.
Some of the incidents we attended over the weekend included:
👮♂️Missing persons
👮♂️Domestic incidents
👮♂️Sudden death
👮♂️Stopping a driver flagged as having no MOT
👮♂️Using our police protection powers to safeguard children.
We are now on late and night shifts for the next few days, and will be here for you should you need us!
There is a Neighbourhood Watch meeting this Wednesday @ 7pm @ Peel House/WTC Offices, you are very welcome to come along and join in this open meeting.
