Rural Crime Reminder

We’d like to remind you that this Friday (22 September) is the day of our Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) meet and greet event.

The event will take place from 10am to 2pm, at Harvest Barn Farm shop in Farcet (PE7 3DR) alongside Darryl Preston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire.

It is being held during National Rural Crime Week (18th to 24th September) – a week to help highlight rural crime in communities, how they can be affected and how people can help.

Sergeant Tom Nuttall from RCAT said: “This event provides a great opportunity for people to engage with us, find out more about the work the police do and our team do more specifically.

“There will also be information and advice to those who live in farming, agricultural or rural communities about how they can keep safe and report any suspicious activity.”

Interested in attending? You do not need to buy a ticket and can just visit on the day.

Pedestrian Crossing A605/Aldi

Months after the opening of the Aldi Store on Eastrea Road/A605
Has someone has made a ?!?!?! – It appears….maybe

My research and question to Cambs Highways….

I’m afraid we are very much waiting on the developer to finish their works.
We believe they were still waiting for a power supply and lighting to be installed.
It looks like this may now be programmed for late October.

A Real Result From Our Investment – CAB

At tonights Finance & Policy meeting @ WTC – I attended as a member of the public as I often do.
As part of the discussion was the input Whittlesey Town Council invests into The Rural Citizens Advice – held in our WTC Offices weekly.

In the past 6 months the CAB have obtained many thousands of £££ in benefits that many were not aware they were entitled too.

I am very pround to have been a member and supporter of
The Rural CAB since 2011
