How to prevent fraud

The Take Five to Stop Fraud, external campaign is urging people to:

  • Stop: Taking a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information could keep you safe
  • Challenge: Could it be fake? It is OK to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you

  • Protect: Contact your bank immediately if you think you’ve fallen for a scam and report it to Action Fraud

The Never Ending Reporting of Potholes

We all know how (dangerous) and inconvienient the dreaded ‘Pothole Problem’ can be.
I regularly (weekly) report what I find on my travels.
It is very easy for ALL to report on the Cambs CC Website..

https://highwaysreporting.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/

You will be presented with a map and zoom into the area/street you wish to report.
It will ask you ‘what’ you wish to report on a drop-down list.
Best if you know the address also.
It will ask you for your name/contact no and e-mail.
It will give you the opportunity to upload a photograph.

Here is a small selection of what I’ve reported this week…..

(Please I ask you not to send them to me – I am busy enough and as said – so easy to report youselves) + I would only deal with issues within my own Ward (Whittlesey South). Thanks…

Naturally the final one is for fun only….

Democracy Takes Its Course

What is Democracy? “Of the people, by the people, for the people” Abraham Lincoln

Firstly I would congratulate both candidates who won their respective ward elections.
Gurninder Singh (Con) and Alex Miscandlon (Con)

I would also give great credit to both Peter Bibb and John Male, for having the put themselves forward for election – it gives the electorate to opportunity of choice.
