Policing Fenland

As Christmas is now only two weeks away (not that we’re counting!), we’re giving you a friendly reminder about how you can contact us should you require police assistance this festive season. 🚔 🎄

👉 Always call 999 in an emergency (that’s when a serious offence is in progress or has just been committed, or someone is in serious danger / harm)

👉 For non-emergencies, we recommend reporting online
(just visit https://orlo.uk/K1w9G and click ‘report’).
This is exactly the same as calling 101, but can be much quicker and efficient for you (we’ll get back to you within 48 hours!).
Alternatively, you can call us on 101 if you do not have online access.

👉 You can also speak to operators on our live web chat whenever there is a green circle in the bottom right hand corner of our website. This service should be used in non-emergencies – if you need advice, support / guidance, or to report a non-urgent crime 💬

👉 If you need advice or information, you can also browse this section of our website, which is host to a whole of range of support: https://orlo.uk/XYNCv

👉 To give us more information about a crime that has already been reported, you can also do this online here: https://orlo.uk/uYqt7
Help us help keep Cambridgeshire safe this Christmas! 🎄 Only call 999 in an emergency and help keep our phone lines free for those who need us most.

Please Take Care – Flood Warning #2

Flood warning for North Bank Road alongside the River Nene, east of Peterborough and west of Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice

We have seen persistent rainfall in the Peterborough area which is causing River levels to rise on the River Nene. During periods of high tide the River Nene will be unable to discharge into the sea, resulting in tide lock conditions. This is likely to lead to localised flooding of the North Bank Road, between Peterborough and Rings End. Whilst this Flood Warning is in force, the Local Authority will close North Bank Road. Diversionary routes will be put in place and further updates will be available through local media. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated by 16:00 on 11/12/23, or before, if the situation changes.

Flood warning area: North Bank Road alongside the River Nene to the east of Peterborough and the West of the Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice.

We are closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated by 16:00 on 11/12/23, or before if the situation changes.

Thank You Whittlesey Extravaganza

I am proud and humbled to be part of the Extravaganza Volunteers, who this year raised enough sponsorship/donations and grants to put on a completely ‘FREE’ event to several hundred (maybe a thousand) families on a cold dry evening.
