Are Parking Charges About To Come To Whittlesey?

I don’t normally do rumor or speculation, however, much comes via Pub Talk.
(not guilty rarely go to Pub these days)
and depending on how much alcohol has been consumed, depends on the truth of the rumor?

So we’ve had a good number of rumors regarding The Ivy Leaf Club which closed down.
Lots of speculation into why and finances etc.
The latest being that Britainnia Parking ‘could’ be installing a Pay Parking Machine on the Ivy Leaf Car Park (ownership still being questioned).
When-ever I pass by, I don’t see that many vehicles there…..unless you know differently?

Lineage Completed On A605 – Pity About Market Street…..

So the question should be – and I will be asking – ‘Is there an Oil Spill contingency plan’ – It appears NO. I save any further comments as I am not fully aware of the ‘facts’ surrounding Fridays Oil Spill along Market Street….One resident is asking who foots the costs?

At long last Syers Lane (The Whittlesey Bypass) has been relined.

What A Wonderful Sunday – Whittlesey

Today I took up my role as one of the Safety Volunteers at Music On The Square – for 6 hours. Sponsored by Whittlesey Town Council – I estimate around 500 very happy residents enjoyed MOTS (Next one August).
A quick run down to the Manor – McCains Family Event, again with Live Music and lots of Rides…..
Then there was Cricket.
Then at the New Crown more Live Music.

We Will Need to Engage With The Wisbech Incinerator Operator.

https://www.mvv-medworthchp.co.uk/

Irrespective of the outcome(s) for the  Mega Incinerator planned for Wisbech – this may and could have serious implications for us here in Whittlesey, namely the possibility of the end waste (Incinerator Bottom Ash – IBA) coming to Whittlesey for processing –
Note  —– I have said may/could/possibility…..
It has been suggested they ‘we’ need to start talking liaising with MWV in the near future.
I will be asking other Councillors for their thoughts….
