Fen Cops
The start of a new month and we’ve already made eight arrests for drink-drive related offences across the county.

Great British Spring Clean
I am very proud to have been a member of Whittlesey Street Pride, for some 15 years and a past chairman for 6 years. Today they still have a fantastic group who go out regularly to keep our ‘Gateways’ and other areas free from litter and rubbish.
There is no committment to come to every event and there are small groups tendering our ‘Gateway Projects’ all sponsored by local businesses.
Below, article from 2015 – when we had removed an estinated 40 tonnes of rubbish – I wonder what the figure maybe now – remember – this is someone elses rubbish they have left.

Flood Warning – No Longer In Effect
This is a message from the Environment Agency.
Flood Warning no longer in force: North Bank Road alongside the River Nene, east of Peterborough and west of Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice.
The situation is improving and no further flooding is expected in this area.
The River Nene has being falling steadily today Saturday 2nd March. North Bank Road will be reopened once the Highways Authority have been able to inspect the road surface and carry out any necessary works to ensure the road is passable.
There may be standing water in low lying areas and fields for several days.
