There are telephone numbers within this document to call if you have concerns/complaints or other issues.
I have been actively involved in the issues for over 8 years, and was very pleased that the Saxongate Residents Group was formed as one of the main means of communication for residents.
Saxongate keep me informed on their communications and attend some of their meetings.
I have been extremely concerned over all these years, of the issues created by industrial site(s) and that no solutions have been offered or found for residents.

This afternoon, many of us attended the presentation of The Freedom of the Town’
to Kay Mayor.
Many friends and family were at the presentation made by Mayor of the Council- Cllr Alex Miscandlon.
Some 34 years of public service – both as a Town and District Councillor, also involved in many volunteer community groups and organsiations.
The first of 3 events being held was at WTC Offices yesterday, a number of Councillors were present including myself for part of the time.
The organiser informed me that there were just over 100 people attending throughout the period.
You can view and take part by visiting Fenland District Councils Website…

It is hoped to launch the ‘Whittlesey’ version of a Repair Cafe – based at The Whittlesey Athletic Football Ground – off Drybread Road.
Ititially supported by the Peterborough Repair Cafe….
Below what the Ramsey Group provide.
On hearing the sad news of Geoff Capes passing away, brought back a few memories.
Around 1975 I had a local policewoman Susan V as a ‘friend’ but never materialised into anything serious, after my return to sea, she then started a brief relationship with Geoff.
(no competition then?)
However in 1997 when a ‘new’ stroke/rehabilitation unit was commissioned at Peterborough Hospital and my wife Connie was the Ward Sister.
The official opening was with Geoff Capes and she was somewhat surprised at the event.
She was the Ward Manager/Sister of the Stroke unit for some 23 years.

Cambs CC Highways sign at the B1040 before the Dog-in-a-Doublet Bridge
Road is being closed from
Monday 28th October 2024 for 10 days.
I assume contractors are repairing the highway before it floods again.
Kind regards,
Cllr Dee Laws.
