Movies Nights Are Back…..

Whittlesey Movie Evenings are back!!

Sat Oct. 7th – at Queen St Church –  doors open 6.30pm for 7pm start.

“Allelujah” – cert 12A stars Jennifer Saunders
A warm and deeply moving story about old age. When the geriatric ward in a small Yorkshire hospital is threatened with closure, the hospital decides to fight back by galvanizing the local community: they invite a news crew to film their preparations for a concert in honour of the hospital’s most distinguished nurse. What could go wrong? ALLELUJAH celebrates the spirit of the elderly patients whilst paying tribute to the deep humanity of the medical staff battling with limited resources and ever-growing demand.

Free entry, donations welcomed – we are fundraising to improve our front entrance for better accessibility for the less able bodied and for a more welcoming appearance!
Refreshments served at interval – please bring along your friends!

Some Confusion About Yesterdays Queues…?

There were NO Queues at New Queens Street mainly because they were carrying out only ‘FLU’ Jabs – No Covids.
Jenner has always done both so takes that bit longer top process everyone along, so simples, if the Queue at Jenner started at 08:20 and they opened at 09:00 – there was always ging to be a delay – for those who maybe technical it is called ‘Erlang Effect’ ?

We (Me @ NQS) have to book a Covid vaccination and we’re off today to Peterborough to have ours, some are going Doddington.

A Very Busy Morning Vaccinators….

Jenner this morning giving both Flu & COVID Vaccinations, some arrived at 08:20 for their 09:00 appointment, this then caused a big queue all the way back to Market Street and this remains until I passed by at 10:00 and 11:45, traffic controllers are trying their best, but parked cars on double yellow lines not helping?

For a change there was no queue at New Queen Street when I went by at 12:00
