A Small Result Can Make A Big Difference

A bright and sparky lady visited us at the Council Surgery on Saturday with issues concerning overgrown foaliage/brambles on her newish fencing.

She had been to Cambs CC no luck, Environment Agency no luck, and Mid-Level Commissioners, no luck.
Fortunately I also live besides the field she was enquiring about and I had the Land Register details of ownership.

Both she and I wrote letters to one of the nearest registered owners and by late Tuesday I had an e-mail reply back to say they had sent someone around to sort the problem out.

I’d say that’s not a bad result….and the lady did say – thank you..

Wonderful Turnout Coates Church Rake & Cake Event

By Liz Speechley.  Saturday, 3rd August.

What an absolutely fantastic group of volunteers at Holy Trinity Church, Coates, this morning. There must have been at least 40 plus people turned out. A fantastic group effort. The church wardens have told me there will be another “Rake and Cake” soon. Details will be shared when we have them. Huge thank you to all who helped and for the cake donations too. (Donuts from Anna Foster from the community pantry, went particularly fast!)

Thanks all, you’ve made a massive difference and left some happy church wardens today!

Before This mornings clearup event.

The results afterwards – Well done…..
