15 members of Whittlesey Neighbourhood Watch attended our quarterly meeting.
We were pleased to have in attendance PCSO Shane Greene – who is allocated to Whittlesey. Subjects raised were being vigilant under the current police advice. On local issues, Fly-tipping, vehicles using High Causeway, speeding (PCSO has been out with the speed gun on several occasions) and anti-social behaviour were some of the items raised.
Our other main concern is the number of people locally who are being scammed on the internet – we have tried to raise this profile on a number of occasions.
Both myself and NHW Secretary Robin Sutton will be attending Police HQ at the end of the month taking part in a Cyber -Awareness seminar.
We hope then to run short courses/presentation to any community organisation who think they may benefit from our help.
