Appeal following vandalism in Whittlesey

We are appealing for members of the public to come forward with information following a spate of vandalism in Whittlesey.

Over the past few weeks, trees and benches have been vandalised in the town, with one plastic four-seater picnic bench being burnt to ashes.

Newly-planted trees have also been stripped and branches pulled off.

The vandalism has taken place across the town, with damage caused in the Manor, St Mary’s Church Yard, Yarwells Headlands and Burdett Grove.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team are doing extra patrols in the areas affected and are appealing for members of the community to come forward with any information about who might be responsible.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting crime reference number 35/38975/22. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, online or on 0800 555111.
