It is my understanding that there was a wedding being held. The main group of people were from outside of Whittlesey. A group were ejected from the ‘George’ and made their way to various other places, but were refused entry. Eventually they returned to St Andrews Hall where the incident took place.
A small group that belonged to these people were seen to be stealing/shop lifting small items like chocolate from one of our shops earlier in the afternoon.
As stated before we are seen as a ‘Low Crime area’ – not a NO Crime area.
Be vigilant when out and about.
