I will publically like you say a BIG Thank You to Robert Windle who has put together another major event here in Whittlesey almost single handed –
We few volunteers basically turn up on the night.
That said 12 brave Volunteers supported the safety, road closures and event management from 11:30 until gone 20:00, it was COLD – the wrist bands sold out and the emergency stock had to be brought out.
I’d estimate during the evening well over a Thousand Children enjoyed the events and music along with their families. We only had one incident where 2 children went missing for a short period – they were found safe.
Along with Robert I’d thank Julie his wife and ALL the Volunteers who braved the cold dry evening plus all the shops and sponsors of the event, for what will be remembered as the biggest and best so far Whittlesey Christmas Extravaganza.
A comprehensive safey meeting is held before the event.
