You will recall the tabling of a motion at the last full Council meeting regarding changes to the Winter Fuel Allowance, in order to help protect pensioners from fuel poverty.
One of the recommendations for this motion was:
Commit the Council to signing the ‘Save the Winter Fuel Payment for Struggling Pensioners’ petition being run by Age UK and write to all members offering them the opportunity to sign the petition themselves.

Your support in signing this petition will, I’m sure, be appreciated by many of the vulnerable pensioners in Fenland who now find themselves at risk of fuel poverty following the Government’s decision to withdraw the much needed Winter Fuel Allowance.
