So far this year our officers have arrested more than 200 people for stealing from shops across the county.
Although we’ve got a specific focus on business crime this week as part of Safer Business Action Week, business-related crime has been a priority for some of our neighbourhood policing teams in recent months.
With support from across the frontline, including our response teams and detectives, we’ve arrested 205 people so far this year for shoplifting!

Many of them have been charged with a multitude of offences in addition to shoplifting, including possession of drugs, robbery, assault, possession of weapons, threatening behaviour, breach of court orders, business burglary and more.
