Today Cllr Simon Black organised a ‘Car Boot’ at The Manor Field Whittlesey, when this was done, no one knew that the England Womens Team would have reached the final.
There was – the well organised ‘Yard Sale’ and the Pétanque event in Coates.
I was at the Manor area at 08:15 this morning to support Cllr Black, there was about 8/10 Car Booters and 2 Food Trucks and The Ice-Cream Man. It was light on numbers but most did some sales. We decided to call it a day at 13:00.
In-between I visited some 20 Yard Sales and they were ALL – light on public participation.
I’d thank the organisers of the Yard Sale (DeFibs) and Cllr Simon Black for his efforts in trying to get something off the ground.
Who knows – maybe there will be another opportunity.
